If you have been following my blog you know that I’m a sale shopper. I love great deals and am able to buy the quantity of clothing I do because I rarely ever pay full price for things. However, every now and then, I will go off the grid, pay full price and splurge! There are some things that are worth spending more money on. There are pieces that you should invest in because they are beautiful and you will always have that piece in the back of your closet to pull out when “you have nothing to wear”. Or you will have that piece to wear ALL THE TIME because it’s just that perfect! I also think of pieces that I will keep forever and hopefully pass down to my future daughter one day.

I also love adding unique pieces to my closet. This beautiful kate spade new york floral romper is just that. It’s an investment piece but one I will have forever. The pattern is lovely and perfect for summer. I love the three-quarter length sleeves with the tassel tie at the neck. I chose to leave it open but have worn it tied up and it looks great both ways. It also has pockets! I adore rompers and jumpsuits but add pockets and I’m done.

I had plans to wear this look in Chicago this past weekend to walk around and be touristy. I think it scream city glam! Sadly, I was only able to wear it for a few minutes to get photos because the weather was rainy and 40 degrees. Not ideal romper weather. So Ali (Ali Stone from Those White Walls) and I braved the weather, got our shots and called it a day. Honestly, I couldn’t get back in the warm car fast enough. I did wear the romper yesterday afternoon in Atlanta for my best friend’s bridal shower. I knew I would be rushing to the shower after our flight landed and this romper was the perfect look for an afternoon celebrating my high school bestie!

Not only is the print on this romper perfection, kate spade new york made matching poppy earrings to go with it! Talk about a statement. I’ve been trying to branch out lately and wear more statement earrings. For so long I just kept my earrings simple because I didn’t think chunky earrings would look good with my short hair. Thankfully I got over that and realized that my short hair is what makes me me. I am currently on a statement earring kick and these beautiful poppy ones complete this look perfectly!

As for sizing, this romper runs true to size. I’m wearing a zero and think it fits perfectly. It has a full zipper that goes up the back with a break in the material. It’s very flowy yet tapered in all the right areas to make it flattering.
