Hi Friends!! I’m a little late on this but with the jet lag and lack of good internet in Italy I figure it’s better late than never. Plus I could stare at these pictures forever!

It’s hard to believe that a year of time has passed since we stood before our friends, family & each other committing to a lifetime together. I still remember my exact feelings of how I couldn’t believe the day was finally here. The day where two became one. The day we had been looking forward to since I first said, “YES”!

It’s been such a fun year! We have learned about each other. We have learned what compromise is. But mostly we have Loved! Sometimes, when I stop and think about the relationship I have with Chris I think about our friendship. He is the person I can’t wait to come home to, I can’t wait to wake up to, I can’t wait to talk to and tell him everything. Sometimes I just like being in his presence, knowing he is there and knowing he loves me and doesn’t want to be anywhere else but with me in all the world. It’s truly a great feeling and everyone deserves to know what that’s like.

Our wedding was amazing. It was everything I wanted since I was a little girl and more. We were married in Athens, GA (my hometown) on August 29, 2015 at the Classic Center in downtown Athens. We had all of our friends and family there and celebrated the night away. When it was time for us to leave I remember wishing we could make it last longer. We were having so much fun!

My mom and I planned to whole thing. Everything was perfect. The flowers were amazing, yet simple. The decorations in the Reception hall were everything I wanted and more. I had a vision when we started planning and it came to life on our wedding day.

My one piece of advice (other than to have so much fun) would be to do a first look & to eat dinner before your reception. Chris and I chose to do a first look before the ceremony and I’m so thankful that we did. It was great to spent time with him and calm my nerves before everything started. We were also able to take pictures with our bridal party before and that saved time and allowed for them to enjoy cocktail hour while we ate our first meal in private before the reception. Side note, we had a buffet style dinner for our guests. Chris and I ate dinner together while everyone was at cocktail hour so we could enjoy each other’s company, actually have the chance to eat and then we were able to walk around and talk to everyone while they were eating. We really wanted to be able to dance and enjoy our reception so this is what worked best for us. I highly recommend eating the meal before the reception if you can!

This night was by far the best night of my entire night! This year has been amazing & I can’t wait to see what year two has in store for us! Love you, Christopher!

Thank you for reading some of our love story!
