One Print, Three Ways

Happy #workwearwednesday friends! I’ll be honest, I kind of miss wearing business professional attire every day. I loved pairing different skirts and blouses together or finding the best drop waist dresses. This time of year is my favorite to start shopping for Fall prints and styles. Especially with all the back to school sales that are going on!

Today, I’ve teamed up with kate spade new york to bring you this fun Fall floral pattern. I originally ordered this look with the intention to only wear it together but then I realized that each piece can shine on it’s own, although I do love the way it looks like a dress when they are paired together! Ruffle Sleeves & Pencil Skirt

I asked you guys yesterday on my Instagram what you wanted to see more off right now and a lot of you said that you wanted to see more work wear, more things for Fall and clothing that teachers can wear. I think this look covers all three of those categories! You simply cannot go wrong with a blouse and pencil skirt for work. I used to wear pencil skirts all the time for work and would constantly be trying to figure out different tops to wear with them so the outfit didn’t look the same each time. I think it’s also important to add accessories that will make your look pop!

Statement sleeves are going to be a big trend for Fall this year. It’s a great way to dress up your outfit without too much effort. This top i’m wearing is currently sold out in the polka dots but does come in four other colors and patterns. I really like the floral one! I have added a few other statement sleeved tops that would look great with a pencil skirt to the “shop the post” widget at the bottom! [Read more…]

Goodnight Macaroon Anniversary Sale

Shop swimsuit here

Hello! I’ve really been into ordering from Goodnight Macaroon lately! I feel like they have stepped up their game since I first discovered them last year. They redesigned their website to make it super easy to use. They have quick shipping (all my items usually arrive within a week, most of the times sooner). They have flash sales every SINGLE week (y’all know how I feel about sales). AND they are currently running 40% off everything – including new Fall arrivals – for their Anniversary Sale! Use code ANNIVERSARY at checkout.

I put together a few looks that I’m loving of theirs right now. If you follow me on Instagram, you have probably seen these on my account and know how much I already love each item. Their pieces are unique and very on trend. When I think Goodnight Macaroon, I think beautiful lace dress, gingham prints, and cozy sweaters for fall. I also have a cross body purse from them that is a Chloe knock off and it’s amazing! The grey suede leather is amazing and every time I wear it, I get a ton of compliments! [Read more…]

Green Floral Kimono

Floral Kimono \\ White Cami \\ Distressed Jeans \\ Nude Pumps \\ Necklace \\ Sunglasses \\ Crossbody

Hey Friends! So thankful it’s Wednesday! I’m gearing up for another weekend away…July has seriously been a crazy month for us! I am so excited for this weekend though because MY BEST FRIEND IS GETTING MARRIED. We are headed to Highlands, NC for their wedding tomorrow. Have you ever been? What are some fun things to do?

With all this talk about Fall, I figured I would share a closet staple I’ve been obsessed with since I laid eyes on it in July. Have you ever seen a more beautiful floral kimono? This hunter green color & floral mixture seriously makes me so happy! Kimonos are a perfect way to transition from the hot weather of summer into the cooler nights of Fall. I love pairing kimonos with distressed skinny jeans and a cami for an easy date night look. My kimono is from Jess Lea Boutique and is only $54. I love the length of this one, not too long and not too short. I would also pair this kimono with a black cotton dress and add a belt and booties. I have this black dress and think it would be the perfect look for weekend brunch.  [Read more…]

Nordstrom Sale Finds – Part 1

Happy Saturday!! I wanted to put together a post of everything I tried on from my first go at the Nordstrom Sale so you guys can see everything on someone. I added a lot of pictures to my Instagram stories but they only last for 24 hours and if you need to go back a few days later and look at them, you wouldn’t be able to. So the problem is solved this way!

So of these items I bought and some I left behind. It’s so easy to get carried away with this sale and spends thousands of dollars, but is that really practical? My husband would tell you definitely not. Ha! I think if you can invest in a few good pieces for Fall, you will be set.

Please let me know if you have any questions about these items! I will have a few more blog posts coming with specific looks as soon as I get back to Georgia and shoot them with Katie – hopefully the first post one will be on Wednesday. If you don’t have the Nordstrom Credit card, don’t forget that the sale goes open to the public on Thursday this week so make sure to get your wish lists ready!!

Palm Print Jumpsuit + Flash Sale

How fun is this palm print jumpsuit? I figured it was the perfect print to share on a day that I am West Coast Bound! I’m so excited to get to California. It’s been over ten years since I’ve been there. We will start in San Jose then head to San Fransisco then finish the weekend at Half Moon Bay.

Due to the weather, I’m sure if we will be spending much time on the beach or by the pool. It’s going to be in the high 60’s mostly so this palm jumpsuit might be on reserve until we make a tropical trip happen! I did want to go ahead and share it because it’s on FLASH sale today and tomorrow. It’s marked down to $41 right now!!  [Read more…]

The Perfect Summer Wedge

@loverlygrey

I think I’ve found it. I’ve been looking high and low for it and I think it’s finally here: The Perfect Summer Wedge! Each summer I feel like I go on a hunt for a good wedge shoe that is easy to walk in, not too high, matches everything, is super comfortable and comes at a good price. Well my friends, I’ve FOUND it!!

I was shopping at Nordstrom last week when I spotted these said “perfect shoes”. A little back story… my Nordstrom Shoe Department just got a new face lift. They have been doing renovations on the whole store since January and the project is almost completed; just in time for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! So for a while, they had scaled down the women’s shoe section to make the changes. The shoe section has since been completed and it is as glorious as ever with a ton more shoe options than before!  [Read more…]

Monday Vibes + Anthro Sale

Hey Ladies! Happy Monday!! I’m excited to report that my back up coffee maker made a great cup of coffee for me this morning so I don’t have to go without. If you are just tuning in, last week our Nespresso broke (insert crying face here). I’m honestly still trying to decide how much I like the Nespresso. It’s very easy and convenient but I need to find a coffee pod I really love.

We have a busy week ahead of us! Chris leaves today for California for 10 days and I will meet him there on Wednesday for 4 of those 10 days. It’s been a little while since I’ve been to Cali and can’t wait to be back! Does anyone have any recommendations for the San Jose/San Francisco area? We cannot wait to visit the area and explore! Pink Tiered Maxi

Happy Friday!! This has been the best week. I love when a Holiday falls in the middle of the week and the days right after it seem to go by like crazy fast! I am packing up and heading to a wedding this weekend for our friends, Caroline and Daniel. I went to high school with Daniel and he is my brother’s best friend. I’m really excited to spend time with my family in Dahlonega this weekend.

I am planning to wear this beautiful pink maxi dress from the LOFT to the rehearsal dinner tonight. I shared a sneak peak of this dress last week when it was on sale but am so excited to actually wear it tonight. A few of y’all thought this dress looked a little big. I know it’s very flowy and can be overwhelming but it’s so comfy and who doesn’t like a dress that can cover up all the food and drink for the weekend? I also really like the adjustable drawstring neck, this helps with the length if you want it a little shorter too. [Read more…]

Striped Maxi Dress + Shein Review

Good Morning! I’m totally in the mood to be comfy today but I also have a lot of stuff to do so I need to look put together…black and white striped maxi for the win it is today! I love an easy maxi dress that doesn’t take too much effort but still looks great when you have it on. That’s what I love about this dress. I will admit, it is fairly long and I do have on a higher heel in this photo (I’m 5’5 for reference). I plan to tie a knot in the dress to make it a little bit shorter today.
