Blouse + Skirt + Fall Transitions

9 August |

Happy Wednesday! I’m writing this from Boston, MA today and can’t wait to take you behind the scenes on our vacation! Chris’s best friend from high school is getting married this weekend in Cape Cod so we came up a little early for a mini vacation! We usually always stay in Middleton with Chris’s brother and his family but we decided to stay in the city for the day so Chris wouldn’t get anyone sick. His whole family is meeting us at the Cape on Thursday! This will actually be our first family vacation with them since we’ve been married. I’m so excited!

Before we get too far into the vacation stuff, I wanted to share a work/play look with you guys! How perfect is the 3/4 length blouse? Tops like this are my favorite for cooler weather. I seriously go on hunts for good, flattering 3/4 length blouses and here is my first pick of the season! I am obsessed with the color! This green will be very popular this season. It’s a longer top but I have it tucked into a skirt in this look for a more professional look. I’m wearing my normal XS from the LOFT in this blouse and think it runs true to size! LOFT is also having 40% off EVERYTHING with code OHYES! They have the best new arrivals right now so make sure to head to their website to see more!

Next…this skirt (insert heart eyes here). How pretty is it? So honestly…it’s probably a little short for the workplace, unless you are shorter than me, then it would be perfect. I’m wearing a US 4 because I was hoping for more length. If you are under 5’5 then this would probably be a great work skirt for you! I love the pattern and think the pale pink mixed with darker florals make for a great transitional piece.

Both my skirt and blouse are under $70 and can be worn with lots of other options and warmer pieces as it gets cooler. I will definitely be sharing additional ways to style both pieces as we head more into Fall! I do want to touch on the accessories from this post especially since this bag was a very popular style this summer. And how exactly do you take this bag into fall?? I think it’s perfect with this look! The floral skirt really helps tie everything together here.
