Athleisure for Him & Her – Chris’s Picks from Nordstrom

17 October |

So happy to have Chris back on the blog today! He is training for a half marathon right now so I figured sharing some of our favorites athleisure outfits from Nordstrom would be perfect timing. Obviously, what he will be wearing for the actual half marathon – this Sunday – will be different than what I’m sharing today! I’m also going to share the program he is following to train for the half marathon. But first, the clothing!

When Chris isn’t in a suit for work, he is usually wearing some type of Nike or Under Armour sweats. He loves both brands and has several of their quarter zip jackets and shirts. Lately, he has been loving the track pants from Nike and this pair of pants from Under Armour.

His sneaker collection is just about as bad as my regular shoe collection! He mostly wears Nike or New Balance for casual wear. Then has a whole different collection for training and working out. He is constantly sending me screenshots from Nordstrom’s app with the latest and greatest activewear. One thing I love about shopping at Nordstrom for Chris is that they have a large selection of men’s activewear so he can always find something. Nordstrom is also great about returning items in store from an online purchase then reordering for you to make sure you get the correct size or fit. So Chris will order something online and if it doesn’t work then he or I will return it to the store and reorder until it’s correct. Not all department stores have that type of patience!

Chris will be running in his second half marathon this weekend. He has been training like crazy and it’s been so fun to watch him become passionate about this sport. He is following Hal Higdon’s Half Marathon Training Program, specifically the “Intermediate 1” option. It’s been great because it’s given him a plan and tells him how many miles to run each day and how to run them successfully. I’m really excited to cheer him on this weekend!

My look is also from Nordstrom and is my go to athleisure look in the fall. I bought this fuzzy Patagonia vest from Nordstrom last year and was so happy to see it’s back in stock for this season. I’m wearing a size medium because Patagonia typically runs a little small and I wanted to be able to layer it. Free People has some of the best long casual tops which have been great for this pregnancy. The Spanx Mama Seamless Leggings have been great for both dressing up and wearing casually. I have my regular size – small – in them and they are perfect.

I’m hoping to get Chris on the blog a few more times for y’all this year! What type of men’s clothing do you want to see next? Don’t forget that I have a men’s shopping tab on the blog for easy access to Chris’s favorites!

Today’s post is sponsored by Nordstrom. As always, all opinions are my own!

  1. This is so helpful! What kind of watch is Chris wearing? I would really appreciate a holiday shopping guide for men!
